The Dalecarlia Water Treatment Plant is at 5900 MacArthur Blvd, N.W., across from Sibley Hospital.

From Maryland

Via Beltway

Take I-495 west to Exit 40 (Cabin John Parkway).  Proceed on Cabin John Parkway south until it merges with Clara Barton Parkway.  Continue on Clara Barton Parkway (get in left lane) until the left lane is forced to turn left.  After you turn left, get into the right hand lane and climb the hill toward MacArthur Boulevard.  At the stop sign at the top of the hill turn right.  Continue south on MacArthur Boulevard for approximately 2 miles until you come to the District of Colombia/Maryland line.  Immediately after crossing into DC, turn right into the Dalecarlia Treatment Plant. 

Via Falls Road and MacArthur Blvd

From the intersection of Falls Road and MacArthur Blvd, proceed on MacArthur toward the District of Columbia.  It is approximately 10 miles to the Maryland/DC line.  Immediately after crossing into DC, turn right into the Dalecarlia Treatment Plant. 

From Virginia

Via Beltway:

Take I-495 north across the American Legion Bridge and take exit 41 (Clara Barton Parkway toward Washington). Continue on Clara Barton Parkway (get in left lane) until the left lane is forced to turn left.  After you turn left, get into the right hand lane and climb the hill toward MacArthur Boulevard.  At the stop sign at the top of the hill turn right.  Continue south on MacArthur Boulevard for approximately 2 miles until you come to the District of Columbia/Maryland line.  Immediately after crossing into DC, turn right into the Dalecarlia Treatment Plant. 

From Arlington/National Airport

Go north on Route 1 or George Washington Parkway.  If you are on Route 1, DO NOT CROSS BRIDGE INTO DC.  Left exit on GW Memorial Parkway (toward Memorial Bridge) heading north.  Take exits for Key Bridge (Rosslyn).  Cross Key Bridge and turn left on to Canal Road.  Take Canal Road (west) to Foxhall Road and turn right on Foxhall Road (heading north).  Stay on Foxhall Road to Reservoir Road.  Turn left on Reservoir Road.  Take Reservoir Road until it joins with MacArthur Blvd.  Stay on MacArthur Blvd (going north) for approximately two miles.  Turn left off of MacArthur into the treatment plant.

From the Pentagon

Go north to Rosslyn and cross Key Bridge.  Get in left lane and  turn left on to Canal Road.  Take Canal Road (west) to Foxhall Road and bear right on Foxhall Road (heading up the hill to the north).  Stay on Foxhall Road to Reservoir Road.  Turn left on Reservoir Road.  Take Reservoir Road until it joins with MacArthur Blvd.  Stay on MacArthur Blvd (going north) for approximately two miles. The Dalecarlia plant is opposite Sibley Hospital.  Turn left off of MacArthur into the treatment plant. The first possible left into the plant is blocked with a jersey barrier.  Take the second entrance. The entrance is immediately before you cross into Maryland.

From I-95 south of the Capital Beltway (I-495)

At the Springfield interchange, exit I-95 and take I-395 north toward Washington, D.C.  Stay in the non-carpool lanes.  After you see the Pentagon on your left, move the far-left lane and be ready to take a left exit on to George Washington Memorial Parkway (toward Memorial Bridge).  You do not cross the Potomac River.  Take exits for Key Bridge (Rosslyn).  Cross Key Bridge and turn left on to Canal Road.  Take Canal Road (west) to Foxhall Road and turn right on Foxhall Road (heading north).  Stay on Foxhall Road to Reservoir Road.  Turn left on Reservoir Road.  Take Reservoir Road until it joins with MacArthur Blvd.  Stay on MacArthur Blvd (going north) for approximately two miles.  Turn left off of MacArthur into the treatment plant.

From Washington DC (Downtown)

Take Massachusetts Avenue westbound.  Proceed through Thomas Circle and DuPont Circle and continue past the Naval Observatory.  When you reach Ward Circle (the Navy’s Nebraska Avenue Complex is on the right and American University is on the left) take the circle 270 degrees in a counter clockwise direction and come out on Nebraska Avenue heading west.  Get in the right lane on Nebraska and continue straight.  Nebraska will turn into Loughboro Avenue and will eventually intersect MacArthur Boulevard.  At that intersection, Sibley Hospital will be on your right.  Turn right onto MacArthur Boulevard.  The Dalecarlia plant will be on the left.  Come in the second entrance (the first one is blocked with a jersey barrier) by making a left turn.
